Expio – Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Expio application and related services. By using Expio, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Expio is a personal expense tracking application that allows users to:

  • Scan and store receipts
  • Manually enter expenses
  • View categorized summaries and reports

Expio is not a bank, accounting service, or financial advisory platform.

2. No Financial or Tax Advice

All insights, summaries, and reports provided by Expio are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and lawful information
  • Use the app only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to misuse, reverse engineer, exploit, or disrupt the service

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all expense data.

4. Accounts and Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
  • We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your actions or negligence
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

5. Data Accuracy & Availability

While Expio strives for accuracy:

  • Automated receipt scanning and categorization may contain errors
  • Service interruptions or temporary unavailability may occur

Expio provides the service "as is" without guarantees of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Paid features are billed through third-party app stores
  • Subscription terms, renewals, and refunds are governed by the respective store's policies
  • We do not control payment processing systems

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Expio is not liable for financial loss, data loss, or indirect damages
  • Use of the app is at your own risk
  • Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the app

8. Termination

You may stop using Expio at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if the app is used unlawfully or in violation of these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Expio means acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
